Bio

I am a Past President of HEUG having previously served as EMEA Representative, the Vice-President Product and President.

I have 25 years experience in Higher Education with a remit including management information, strategic planning, resource allocation and process improvement. I was the Project Director for the successful Campus Solutions implementation at LJMU before moving to the University of Glasgow initially leading their Campus Solutions Support & Development team.  I am now responsible for the student-focused central academic services of Registry and Student Learning Development - leading the development, implementation and administration of processes and procedures in line with academic policy across the student lifecycle.

Through involvement with the HEUG I have had the benefit of sharing the experiences, expertise and solutions from multiple institutions in the EMEA region and more recently Latin America and Australia (and of meeting some great people!). This has demonstrated how much institutions, across the our regions have in common, whilst still recognising the diversity, and how much can be gained from working collaboratively at all stages of implementation and development - something I am committed to encouraging and supporting. At a time when the Higher Education offering from vendors is developing at a pace, I see a real opportunity to bring the HEUG community together wherever there is common ground, or wherever there is a critical local requirement needing support, to collaborate over exploration of new functionality and to feedback to vendors in a coordinated way. Forging a strong network of users in this way provides the foundation for collaborative working to ensure we all maximise the return on our investment in systems as they evolve.
